| Emi Motokawa, aka Emi M. was born in Tokyo, Japan and moved to Los Angeles at the age of seven. "POP SPIRITUAL BLISS" is what one noted local painter called her art. Its a modern spin off of universal Buddhist concepts and by creating such art, she hopes to tickle your soul. She paints in acrylic and uses "big-eyed" characters because the eyes are the window to the soul. Emi M. went to study Buddhism in Japan for two years. She flew around the world as a flight attendant for 6 years and in 2006, she quit her job to pursue her art. She is a self taught artist. |
